Bradley Yount, CEO of Odyssey Bay Ventures, honored with CEO Roundtable "Leadership Award"
Boston / Andover / North Andover -- Bradley A. Yount, CEO of Odyssey Bay Ventures, was recently honored with CEO Roundtable "CEO Leadership Award." The annual award recognizes a Roundtable member who exemplifies the power of CEO peer groups.
"Brad has been a member of CEO Roundtable for nine years," said Loren G. Carlson, the organization’s founder and chairman. "During that time he has consistently gone the extra mile to help other CEOs in his own peer group and in our other CEO Roundtable groups. He listens carefully, asks the right questions, and gives straightforward advice. He also brings his own issues to the table and listens just as carefully to the advice he receives from others." Yount is the founder and chairman of Odyssey Bay Ventures, a holding company for companies he has bought and built while a member of CEO Roundtable. These include Enefco International in Maine and FMB Inc. in New Jersey. Enefco is the market leader in the development, production, and distribution of electronic cleaning cards for optical scanners, check validators, and thermal printers. FMB is one of the leading companies in miscellaneous metal fabrication in the New York metropolitan area.
"Brad has excellent skills for identifying good companies to buy, negotiating the purchase at terms that are fair to all parties, implementing changes quickly, and then operating the companies in a way that is good for all involved. He does not ‘flip’ his companies but builds solid, long-term value," Carlson said.
"My success is a direct result of hard work and association with many bright, dynamic people over the last twenty years," Yount said. "The CEO Roundtable is composed of very successful professionals who are endowed with a boundless, entrepreneurial spirit."
Yount joined CEO Roundtable as the CEO of a "roll-up" company and stayed in the peer group to build his own portfolio of companies. He has over 20 years of experience in merger and acquisition activity, buying and turning around divisions of large companies.
Yount lives in Andover, Massachusetts, with his wife and two children. He volunteers as an assistant football coach at Andover High School and is active in his church, Ballard Vale United Church in Andover.
"CEO Roundtable members are always willing to give and seldom, if ever, just take," Yount said. "I feel that it’s my obligation to ‘give back,’ as that is my way of repaying the debt of time and advice that was so graciously provided to me by many people in my past."
